Welcome to our blog, appreciating the CCG and trading card hobby in all its glory. The phenomenon of collectible card games and trading cards may have slipped from the absolute peak of the entertainment industry, but they are still entertaining countless fans across the globe. Games are still being played, leagues are still being fought over, and card fairs are still drawing a crowd.
The collectible card game is still big news for many people, and thankfully it looks as though this most involving of hobbies is going to stick around for some time.
What is the attraction of this hobby though? It is the cards themselves, the games, the collecting or the social aspect of the gaming lifestyle? probably a little of all of these things rolled into one.
Collectible cards that aren’t attached to a game are another matter altogether. The joys of opening a fresh pack of trading cards can be bittersweet for diehards looking for that elusive final piece of their collection, but for many others it is an unadulterated joy.
Whatever you’re into, movies, TV shows, sports stars, musicians, there's a trading card set out there to interest you. The industry has come a long way from the days of gum in card packs, but the joy is still the same. With autograph cards, costume cards and other chase card varieties on offer, the hobby is addictive and a heck of a lot of fun.
We're here to appreciate the hobby and further the community aspect of Collectible Card Games and Trading cards. Here's to that missing card, people!
